Light snow fell in the northern part of the region yesterday.
Snow covers about the northwestern quarter of the region. It is shallow, contains little water, and is very warm at lower elevations and in the east, but cool at higher elevations. Little melted yesterday.
Little snowfall is expected in the region Friday and Saturday. A surface low will move to near West Virginia by Sunday morning; this will bring light snow to the higher elevations.
